Mr. Ackerman has over eighteen years of engineering experience in the commissioning and design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. His project experience ranges from healthcare, military, industrial, educational, office, retail, to resort facilities. Chris’ system specialty portfolio includes geo-exchange (ground-coupled or geothermal heat pumps), thermal (ice) storage, heat recovery systems, and various other high performance sustainable systems.
Ted Schendt, P.E.
Mr. Schendt has over 34 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and is the president of Schendt Engineering Corporation. He is experienced working as the prime and sub-consultant designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and governmental projects. Specialized design experience includes heating ventilating and air conditioning systems, plumbing systems, central utility plants, and distribution systems, utilities infrastructure, and control system design. Ted has extensive experience in the various design software packages including numerous engineering design analysis programs, energy analysis, and life cycle cost analysis.
Ken M. Merola, P.E., CPMP, LEED AP
Mr. Merola has over 30 years of experience in MEP multi-disciplinary design, commissioning, and construction administration, HVAC contracting, and telecommunication systems for educational, government, military, commercial, retail, religious, hotel, multi-family and healthcare facilities. His experience includes a variety of building evaluations, energy audits, engineering studies, off-peak ice storage air conditioning, retro-commissioning and re-commissioning, ground coupled water-source heat pumps, heat recovery, and code compliance review.
Jerry Pasley, P.E., RCDD
Mr. Pasley has over 30 years of experience in Electrical Engineering. His experience includes military, educational, commercial, industrial, municipal and residential type projects. His skill set includes medium voltage power distribution, lighting design, complex power & control system design, fire alarm detection and mass notification systems, CCTV systems, access control & intrusion detection systems, lightning protection & specialized grounding, HEMP (High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse) infrastructure systems hardening design, UPS networks, emergency power distribution, audio/visual systems and telecommunications infrastructure.

Daniel J. Styer
Mr. Styer has over 18 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician and is responsible for design and layout of HVAC and Hydronic type Mechanical Systems. Dan is also in charge of our AutoCAD drafting standards for projects currently under design. He has extensive experience using AutoCAD 2015 as well as several AutoCAD extension packages. Dan has over 15 years of experience with SEC.
Brian Burgess, PE, CxT
Mr. Burgess has over six years of engineering experience in commissioning and integrated system design. His engineering career has focused on whole building commissioning and retro-commissioning, mechanical/plumbing design for energy efficient and LEED commercial buildings, building energy assessments as well as process improvements. He has supported multiple project types, including federal, municipal, commercial, manufacturing and K-12 facilities.
Electrical Engineering Technician
Monica E. Slavnic
Mrs. Slavnic is an electrical design technician with over 17 years’ experience. Her skill set includes expertise in E4Clicks software, Auto-CAD software and Revit software. Mrs. Slavnic’s standard list of duties include design, cost estimating, site inspections, system modeling and drafting. Monica oversees the electrical Auto-CAD drafting standards for projects currently under design. Monica also provides quality control and administrative support for the office.

Tim A. Harvey
Mr. Harvey has over 18 years of experience as an Electrical and Mechanical Technician, and is responsible for design and layout of power and lighting systems. Tim manages our Revit BIM (Building Information Model), and is adept with EDR (Electrical Designers’ Reference) and AGI Lighting design software programs.
